Blizzard Entertainment released new patches for StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War, updating the sci-fi real-time strategy and the popular add-on to version 1.16. Bethesda Softworks released a patch for their RPG Fallout 3, updating the game to v1.0.0.15. The patch includes the following: Fixed occasional crashes when exiting the game or using Alt F4 to exit. Fixed crashes when using Alt-Tab while binks or credits were playing. The game now restarts properly after title updates finish installing. Great, guys. EA and Maxis released a patch for Spore, updating the life creation sim to v1.01. Amongst other things, the patch resolves a number of issues and bugs that were pointed out by the community complaints. It also offers a few extra cheat codes in the evolution simulator. It currently not known if the update includes the promised DRM loosening.

If you're still out there playing StarCraft, this should interest you. Blizzard Entertainment releases new patches for StarCraft and the Brood War expansion pack, updating both titles to v1.15.3. According to the folks at Blizzard, the patches provide fixes for a communication bug affecting third party leagues. In addition, pressing Alt-F6 will no longer stalls the game under Windows.
