![]() 8.2 Very Good Fun co-op, hilarious characters and cut-scenes, plenty to collect and unlock, fun for the whole family, basically, crisp clean graphics and excellent sound; Gameplay gets a bit repetitive (the puzzles in particular), not all that fun as a single-player experience, could fail to entertain most mature gamers. Generally, you're better off playing this one in co-op (no online co-op, I'm afraid), in which case you're liable to have fun no matter how high you set your standards as a gamer. After all, it is a LEGO game. There's even some replay here, though only for those who are keen on secret goodies and collecting various items along the way. Chances are you won't collect all those Lego studs the first time around and there are numerous hidden goodies to snatch. For everyone else, it's likely to get a bit tedious after a while.

When all's said and done, it only seems fair to note that LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures is the best choice for parents who want to play a fun game together with their kids. What's more, collecting freaks should feel right at home. The sheer number of characters and unlockables will surely keep you busy and if you're ambitious and persistent enough to complete the Story mode and the Free Play mode (as well as getting all the Achievements), you'll find LEGO generally rewarding. If you're really determined, you could try completing 100% of the game's content (good luck). With all that, from an audio and visual standpoint, LEGO Indy is perfect. The brilliant music, cute sound effects, colorful ambiance and imaginatively decorated levels, all contribute to a pleasant in-game ambiance.
The only thing is that we were looking forward to more innovative elements, next to Indiana's unique abilities, swinging and climbing on ropes and such. The gameplay style is getting a bit stale at this point. Regardless, the game should be a part of your collection. It's an excellent way to unwind and have some fun with the amusing characters and hilarious dialogue-free cut-scenes.

| "If you're really determined, you could try completing 100% of the game's content (good luck)." Actually, this game is easier to get 100% on than either LEGO Star Wars game, at least on the PC. Overall, it's a good entry in the LEGO series, but the Star Wars games are just more fun, in my opinion. I think it's the addition of lightsabers and more recognizable characters that gives the Star Wars games that extra fun factor. One thing this game accomplished well was improving the AI further from the Star Wars games. I like how there are points in the game where you switch to the other player (and the original one stays still) to solve puzzles. In the Star Wars games, the AI player would try to help you solve the puzzle - usually unsuccessfully. They did a great job capturing the Indiana Jones feel, also (the music helped a lot). Playing through this game really got me in the mood to watch the movies again. |

| Well, like I said, the AI had its bad moments here, similarly to LEGO SW. Otherwise, it's a cute game. Still, enjoying it as a matter of fact. | ||

| yeah, the AI exhibited some problems when i played it too. namely, after a while playing, the characters with guns would not shoot me. however, if i got close enough they would melee me. and then theres the problem of the friendly AI getting stuck in ditches or holes and not being smart enough to jump out. thankfully that didnt happen very often (or i was happy when it did). overall, this was a very fun game and a bit different from the Star Wars games (which i loved) through the use of real weapons and vehicles. |

| All the "Lows" listed for this game are exactly why I hate all these Lego games. | ||

| I can understand the single-player campaign being a bit boring on their own, or if the game gets repetitive in the sense that it's basically Lego Star Wars turned into Lego Indiana Jones. But if you scoff the game just because it's cutesy, you're probably missing out on quite a lot of laughs and all round fun. | ||
